A stylized engraved rooster silhouette is featured on the obverse, with a selectively colorized background illustrating bright cockscomb flowers (Celosia cristata) with their dark green stems, against a brilliant blue field. Inscriptions include "100 PATACAS," "2017," and "MACAU, CHINA."

The reverse depicts the beautifully detailed Baroque style facade of one of Macau's oldest historical structures St. Dominick's Church, built in 1587.
