The 1971 film, which was based upon a 1956 novel of the same name by British author Ian Fleming, represented the sixth and final portrayal of the suave British Secret Service agent "007" by Scottish actor Sean Connery.

Beautiful Tribute to Diamonds Are Forever

Obverse: Centered on the obverse is the highly recognizable logo of the James Bond film franchise, the cleverly integrated "007" gun graphic. Above, "THE ROYAL MINT" is inscribed beside the Mint's distinctive shield and crown logo. The emblems are contrasted against a background pattern crafted from repeating diamonds, with the inscription "1 OZ 999.9 FINE GOLD" appearing in a frosted area below.

Reverse: The reverse features a collection of seven gorgeously cut diamonds, which have the illusion of tumbling forward in gradually increasing sizes. The film title "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER" is inscribed near the upper rim of the bar. Inspired by the movie's original theatrical release poster, the word "FOREVER" repeats several times, the letters getting smaller with each repetition.
