This Tuvalu Venom is the eighth issue in the Perth Mint's Marvel Tuvalu Superheroes Series. Like the previous issues in the series, this coin is perfect for collectors who are also fans of comic books. Part of a mintage of just 50,000 pieces, this coin was struck from 1 oz of .9999 fine silver.

Powerful Venom Design

The coin's obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's famous right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch dons a tiara that sits upon her curly hair. Her name and title, "QUEEN ELIZABETH II," are inscribed along the rim above her portrait. Other rim inscriptions note the coin's weight and purity, "1 OZ 9999 AG," its date, "2020," its country, "TUVALU," and its face value, "1 DOLLAR."

On the reverse is Venom, sticking his long tongue out and extending the hand of the host he's using menacingly. The character's name, "VENOM," is inscribed in large lettering on the bottom half of the design. The Marvel copyright is inscribed along the rim in the lower right.
