Why make this flawless First Releases 2021 Vermilion Bird of the South 1 oz. Silver Proof Vault Protector Medal the next addition to your collection?
The final release of the Four Guardians series is a celebration of the Vermilion Bird of the South. Like the three previous releases of the series, this silver proof medal is crafted in the style of a vault protector. The ancient vault protectors were minted as oversized cash coins with a central square hole, exclusively for the purpose of hanging, usually with a red silk ribbon, to ward off evil and serve as a magnet for good luck, wealth and prosperity. In Chinese mythology, the Vermilion Bird guards the southern direction, the summer season and the element of fire, and is the symbol for the color red due to its fiery plumage.
- This 2021 Vermilion Bird of the South Four Guardians Vault Protector medal contains 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
- The medal is the fourth and final release of the series.
- The non-denominated medal is a product of the New Century Mint located in Shanghai, China.
- The 40 mm diameter medal features an exquisite proof finish.
- The medal is minted with a "cash coin" type of square hole at the center.
- The flawlessly graded medal received the First Releases attribution.
- Mintage is limited to just 1,888 pieces.
