Delightful 2016 Kangaroo Design

A single adult kangaroo is depicted on the reverse, casually glancing back over its shoulder, with the inscription "0.5 GRAM 9999 GOLD" curving below. The image by Perth Mint designer Ing Ing Jong includes the Perth Mint's traditional "P" Mint mark at right.

The obverse features the right facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as designed by sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. The portrait is encircled by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA 2016" and "2 DOLLARS."
