 Why Do We Love This MS70 Silver Eagle? 

The U.S. Mint issues a large number of coins on an annual basis. The American Silver Eagle was introduced in 1986 and it is consistently among their most popular products. The obverse of the Silver Eagle shows one of the most widely appreciated Liberty designs to ever appear on a U.S. coin (Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty). She is pictured with a bundle of branches as she walks with one arm extended. The date is at the bottom of the design (random). The design on the reverse shows a bald eagle at the center. The eagle has many fine details to observe, as it's pictured with a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. This symbolic design is the work of John Mercanti. This Silver Eagle was submitted to either NGC or PCGS for certification. No imperfections were found when it was examined, so it was assigned a perfect Mint State 70 grade.
